Letter: Let women put together health care plan
A lot of discussion has been centered on the repeal/replacement of the Affordable Care Act. For years, women have been discriminated against as their health care cost premium reflected their ability to have children.
Obamacare covered all health care measures for women at the same costs as men of the same age.
The Senate’s approach to a deliberative process is an all-white body of men in a closed room deciding how to balance a checkbook versus how to take care of people.
Most of the health care decisions dealing with the family’s health and well-being in the U.S. are made by women. Therefore, it would seem appropriate that a room filled with only women, some of who should be providers and nurses, putting together a plan that provides coverages inclusive of our healthy, our vulnerable infants and elders, and those who endure pain and suffering with pre-existing conditions whether male or female.
That’s how we make America great again. Having society that is willing to acknowledge that “all men and woman are created equal” with quality health care available to all enables us all to “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”
