Letter: Homeless Americans deserve our care, before immigrants

I read and watched the news about the immigration protests at Sea Tac airport.

People in every part of the world deserve the basic necessities of life. However, how many of the protesters realize that they drove by homeless camps of Americans who deserve those same rights, on the way to the protest?

Have you been to downtown Seattle recently? The number of homeless is sickening. Don’t our own deserve our care before those from other countries do?
