Letter: Department of Ecology should pay Perma-Fix’s fine
Annette Cary’s story about the $36,400 fine against Perma-Fix (TCH, Nov. 4) closed with the statement “although the plant has had numerous inspections by state and federal teams since Perma-Fix bought the plant ...”
That would indicate the Department of Ecology inspectors failed to do their job during the past nine years (2007-16). Perhaps the Department of Ecology should pay the fine they were so willing to impose on Perma-Fix.
