Letter: Return Larry Haler to Olympia

I met Larry Haler during college, when we were both serving legislative internships at the state Legislature. So, it is with interest that I have watched Larry’s successful careers in nuclear energy and elected office.

Larry Haler is the best choice for the citizens of the 8th Legislative District! Why? Because he can work with people in Olympia to get issues, important to the 8th District and beyond, done and implemented into law. He excels at “behind the scenes” negotiations and has been very successful in getting members of his own party and across the aisle to reach compromise, something very rare in our polarized political environment.

Another key reason to re-elect Rep. Haler is his committee assignments and seniority. Appropriations, Rules and Higher Education committees are very important to the constituents of the 8th Legislative District. You don’t get assigned to these important committees as a newly elected member of the Legislature, but as a senior member of the Republican Caucus with experience working on key issues of importance to the Tri-Cities.

Return Larry Haler to represent you in Olympia. It’s the right thing to do!
