Letter: Vietnam and politics
I was watching a Vietnam documentary and thought how sad. America lost 58,000 people to stop communism. We have elected a socialist in Seattle City Council. The Democratic Party may not say they are, but do the same things as the Socialist Party. Socialism is just one step short of communism.
The other sad part watching the documentary is remembering Air America, which was was a CIA cover to fly drugs and guns to make money. According to the book called Drugging America the Trojan Horse, the CIA regularly packed drugs into soldier caskets as a way to bring them into the USA. It has been said that JFK was going to announce that we were going to get out of Vietnam two months before he got killed. Another interesting fact was President Johnson’s wife had huge shares of the company called Bell, which made most of the Vietnam helicopters. They were the Hueys, 58s, Cobras. Was Vietnam just a war to make money?
That makes me wonder if we went into Afghanistan to really make money for the CIA selling guns, and the poppy fields. It is a sad day to think that most of the politicians — Democrats and Republicans — are willing to sell America into socialism for power and money. That being the case, did we waste the 58,000 lives sacrificed?
