Letter: Evan McMullin is a principled independent candidate for president

We have a principled choice for president: Evan McMullin, an independent candidate. He is qualified, lives high morals, is fiscally conservative, and loves God and our country. His experience includes service as a counter terrorism and intelligence officer in the Middle East and a refugee resettlement officer with the United Nations.

Our country needs the leadership McMullin will provide. I do not worry for myself; I am 90 years old. But I do fear for my treasures — my children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. They will be greatly affected by the decisions we make this election. There is an amazing national grassroots movement to support McMullin. Please learn about him at EvanMcMullin.com, and join me in writing his name on your ballot for president.

I see him as little David fighting the big Goliath billionaires. He waited for someone with name recognition to step up to the plate; when this did not happen, his friends urged him and pledged their support. In mid-August he entered the race late; his motto: “It’s never too late to do the right thing.” I think he is the answer to many prayers, and if he wins it will be the Lord’s victory.
