Letter: Judicial candidates shouldn’t lean left or right
I notice that the advertising for one of the candidates for the Washington State Appeals Court displays the scales of justice tipping to the right.
Perhaps this candidate feels that the scales have tipped too far to the right, but upon reading the balance of the advertising I see the phrase “A Conservative Voice.” This implies the candidate’s thumb will be pressed down on the right-hand scale.
Any judicial candidate who states such a prejudicial disposition to either the left or the right is unsuitable for this office.
