Letter: Matt Beaton for Franklin County commissioner
As a former employee of Franklin County for 30 years, 20 of them as county administrator, I have firsthand knowledge of the workings of county and bi-county issues.
I would prefer not to address county decisions or issues, which leads me to Matt Beaton, county auditor, who is running for county commissioner. Beaton takes seriously his responsibility as a public official. With a proven track record of leadership, Beaton manages one of the larger departments in Franklin County, and uncovered the largest embezzlement in the state’s government history.
Beaton has earned the respect and loyalty of other elected officials and staff. His dedication shows what type of commissioner he will be. He respects his employees. What makes a committed employee? Leadership. Matt respects and shows his appreciation to their dedication and commitment to you.
Not willing to settle on popular opinion, Beaton takes on difficult issues striving for a better community. His commitment as commissioner will build a stronger foundation for all of Franklin County and bi-county agencies. His demonstrated leadership and perseverance will serve the citizens of Franklin County well.
That’s why I support Matt Beaton for county commissioner.
