Letter: Trump sneers at all of us, not just women

Michelle Obama is right to implore women to vote against Donald Trump. I completely agree with her reasoning. But I think there’s also a case to be made for men voting against him as well.

If you’re a man (or woman) who pays taxes, honors contracts, and pays plumbers, electricians, yard workers, and other trades, you should have no respect for a man who thinks it’s “smart” to stiff people who can’t fight back. Or if you’re a man (or woman) who expects to be paid for a job you do, on time and in full, you’d hate to see our country governed by a man who thinks you’re his mark.

Or maybe you’re someone who wasn’t born white, male, and American — say an immigrant, a black or a Hispanic — or you (or one of your children) have a disability.

That’s the beauty of Trump — you don’t have to be a woman to be disdained and objectified — he sneers at all of us.
