Letter: Hillary Clinton not as bad as GOP says

Hillary Clinton is not as bad as what the Republicans make her out to be.

I offer these observations in support of that:

1) Republicans and Democrats hate each other, and both parties are willing to do anything to win the White House.

2) The Republicans cannot match Clinton’s resume, so the only other option is to assassinate her character — which they have done.

3) The Republicans say she lied. Had she lied under oath to any of the Republican congressional investigations, she would still be in jail. She was also questioned by the FBI about her email server, but the FBI did not find enough evidence to press for prosecution.

4) Please recall in the runup to the Iraq War, President George Bush, Vice President Dick Cheney, National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice and Secretary of State Colin Powell all lied in front of a joint session of Congress and the American people. When President Bush was confronted with this, he shrugged his shoulders and said that he would have invaded anyway. We are still suffering the bitter consequences of those lies today.

Evading questions about emails can’t be compared with this.
