Letter: We are fortunate to have a state representative candidate with Francik’s experience
It is rare to have a candidate with so much relevant experience run for the state House of Representatives. As the appointee of governors Locke and Gregoire to the Public Works Trust Fund and the Freight Mobility Strategic Investment board, Rebecca Francik has delivered infrastructure projects that benefit the 16th Legislative District today.
Francik has worked in the public interest with integrity, vision and intelligence for 19 years as a Pasco Council member. She has an agricultural background and teaches in our public schools. Since the state’s number one duty is to fund education, our most important industry is agriculture, and more than 60 percent of our state's population resides in cities, we are fortunate to have a candidate like Rebecca who has the expertise in these fields to skillfully represent the citizens of the 16th district.
Best of all, she can help shape policy in the majority caucus, something we have not been able to do since Bill Grant was our representative. I will vote for Rebecca Francik. I hope you do too.
