Letter: State needs to return to voting booths
Am I wrong in thinking the Tri-City Herald should report the news in an impartial manner? Because I very much take offense when the paper starts suggesting for whom I should vote!
This state needs to return to the voting booths. These booths are manned by volunteers, the voter shows their proof of voter registration, which is confirmed by record books, and then they are allowed to cast their ballot in secret.
This mail-in voting opens an opportunity for falsifying ballots, as well as allowing the recently deceased to vote. All that is required is the marking of an “x” and a witness signature, stuff the falsified ballot into an envelope, stamp and mail — no identification required!
