Letter: Stop spending taxpayer money on Zambrano-Montes shooting investigation

I am so tired of hearing about the Antonio Zambrano-Montes death in February 2015, over a year and a half ago! Stop spending our tax dollars on this. It’s been investigated over and over. Why spend another $27,500 of tax money?

Zambrano-Montes was high on meth, police were called by the public in fear of him throwing rocks. Rocks can cause major damage and injuries. He then threw rocks at the police and ran from them, never a good idea. Police tried to stop him to no avail. He was shot multiple times, but how would the three police know how many shots hit when they are running after him?

It is all very sad, but the victim started the chain of events by his own very bad choices. If he were white, instead of Hispanic, would this be going on and on? If you are a criminal there are consequences no matter what color you are.

Thank goodness for police to protect us from criminals. Let’s be done with this and spend our tax money on a project that will help us all, of all colors.
