There’s a chance the Tri-Cities might get its first measurable snowfall of the winter early this week — but not a good chance.

The National Weather Service predicts a 21% chance of 1 inch or more of snow in the Tri-Cities on Monday and Tuesday.

A 50% chance of rain and snow is forecast Monday night before 1 a.m., with less than a half inch of snow accumulation possible.

Tuesday could have some rain and snow between 7 and 10 a.m., but the chance of precipitation for Tuesday through early Wednesday morning is only 30%.

Any precipitation after 10 p.m. Tuesday likely will fall as snow.

The Tri-Cities will have another chance of snow Thursday night into Friday morning, according to the weather service. It’s too early for possible accumulations to be estimated, but the chance of precipitation is 40%.

Overnight temperatures will be in the 20s through Saturday night, with Wednesday night the coldest at a forecast 21 degrees, according to the weather service.

Daytime highs should be above freezing, ranging from 34 to 38 through Sunday.
