2 storm systems with freezing rain and a wintery mix to keep the chill on Tri-Cities

Two storm systems are forecast to sweep across the Tri-Cities, Wash., area in the coming days, possibly bringing freezing rain and a wintery mix of rain and snow.

The first system could arrive Wednesday night with a chance of snow before 1 a.m., then a chance of snow and freezing rain until 7 a.m.

The chance of precipitation is 40%, according to the National Weather Service forecast.

Friday should be partly sunny, followed by only a slight chance of rain and snow, mostly at night, from Friday night through Sunday.

But then another storm system could arrive Sunday night and Monday, bringing a chance of rain and snow.
