Tri-Cities under another freezing fog advisory. Roads will be slick again

Freezing fog may make Tri-Cities area roads icy Saturday for a second morning in a row, says the National Weather Service.

It has issued another freezing fog advisory through noon Saturday for most of the Lower Columbia Basin of Washington state and across the state line into Oregon.

Visibility could drop to a quarter of a mile, and just a few hundred feet in some places, it said. Bridges could be particularly icy, it warned.

Friday the Pasco School District started two hours late and the Prosser School District was closed due to freezing fog.

Although the freezing fog advisory expires at noon Saturday, patches of freezing fog are possible Saturday night, Sunday morning and Sunday night in the Tri-Cities.
