100+ Tri-Cities temperatures back next week. That’s higher than normal
Temperatures will be climbing back into the triple digits next week in the Tri-Cities.
Highs have dropped to the 80s late this week, including the Saturday forecast of a high of 86 degrees.
Temperatures should start to get hotter on Sunday, with the high reaching about 96 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.
Highs of 101 Monday and 103 Tuesday are forecast, with highs in the upper 90s forecast for Wednesday and Thursday, said the weather service.
Normal highs for the Tri-Cities in July average about 90 degrees.
Sunny and mostly clear skies are forecast through at least Thursday with the exception of partly cloudy skies Monday night.
As hotter weather draws people to area rivers, Richland police remind residents that everyone boating, paddling or being towed needs to wear a life jacket regardless of swimming ability.
Inexperienced swimmers and those who can’t swim also should wear a life jacket.
