Drivers could find roads a little slippery Monday morning around the Tri-Cities.

Forecasters say temperatures will dip below freezing with a continued chance of rain and possibly even snow.

The potential for a bit of snow could drop to as low as 500 feet Sunday night, said the National Weather Service on Sunday afternoon.

And winds were expected to continue to gust to as high as 34 mph Sunday night, then calm down during the day on Monday.

The 30% chance of precipitation overnight Sunday could increase to a 50% chance of snow Monday night.

New snow accumulations of about an inch are possible in some areas, according to initial forecasts.

The Arctic blast that’s arriving will drop daytime high temperatures to near 28 on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The latest prediction for snow was 20% for Tuesday, 30% Wednesday and 20% Thursday.
