When baseball begins this season, this is where the Texas Rangers will call home

Globe Life Field is ready for baseball.

The problem is, of course, there is no baseball for at least the next seven weeks as MLB observes CDC guidelines amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The first regular-season game at Globe Life Field was supposed to be March 31.

But workers at the Texas Rangers’ new $1.2 billion home continue to knock out the punch list — things that might have fallen through the cracks — and to test various systems that will be necessities once the first pitch is delivered.

As such, crews tested the retractable roof Wednesday and Thursday.

Open. Close. Open. Close.

Works like a charm.

Check out this video footage, shot from a drone, of Globe Life Field when the roof is open.
