Pedestrian killed in hit-and-run on I-5 in Seattle
A 53-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run Sunday morning on southbound Interstate 5 in Seattle, according to the Washington State Patrol.
A driver struck the man as he was crossing the road from the left shoulder near Mercer Street at about 1 a.m. The driver stopped, but a second driver also struck the man and continued south, troopers said in a news release.
The man died at the scene.

The second driver, in a silver vehicle, was being sought for felony hit-and-run charges, according to state troopers. No details about the suspect or car were immediately available.
Traffic was down to a single lane at Mercer Street early Sunday, causing traffic to backup to Highway 520, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation. All lanes reopened around 4 a.m.
