Passengers will board Alaska Airlines’ first nonstop flight to London out of Seattle-Tacoma International Airport on Thursday evening.

The new nonstop flight service to London will depart at 9:40 p.m. daily, year-round, and marks the airline’s second European destination after launching nonstop flights to Rome in April. Returning flights to Seattle will leave at 5 p.m. local time. Travelers will board the airline’s long-haul, twin-aisle Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft.

In London, Alaska’s Seattle-London service will operate out of Terminal 3 at Heathrow Airport.

Alaska plans to fly to at least 12 long-haul international destinations from Seattle by 2030, with its nonstop service to Reykjavík starting on May 28. The airline announced its global expansion plans in December 2024 and last year introduced nonstop flights to Tokyo and Seoul.
