King County sheriff's office looking for man in connection with Covington killing
The King County sheriff's office is looking for a 41-year-old man in connection with a recent homicide in Covington.
Sheriff's deputies responded to a call Friday morning in the 25000 block of 18th Place Southeast in Covington and found one person dead. They also found a second person injured, who was taken to MultiCare Covington Medical Center.
After investigating the scene, the sheriff's office has named the injured person, Kyle Cathcart, as a suspect in the homicide. King County Deputy Mike Mellis said deputies did not have probable cause to arrest him at the scene. Cathcart's whereabouts are now unknown.
Cathcart and the person found dead in the Covington home were related, according to the sheriff's office.
The sheriff's office is seeking the public's help in finding the 41-year-old, who is likely on foot and wearing a black sweater and gray sweatpants. He may also have a black eye and bandaged hand. Those with any knowledge of Cathcart's location are encouraged to call 911 or the King County sheriff's office at 206-296-3311.
