Legion, Bellevue restaurant owned by former Seahawks stars, will close

Legion Sports Bar in Bellevue, opened by Seahawks Legends Richard Sherman and Kam Chancellor, is closing, a post on Instagram announced Thursday.

Legion opened in 2023 and was founded by restaurateur Leilani Wong alongside the former All-Pro defenders. The more than 7,500 square foot sports bar located in Lincoln Square has not publicly stated when the final day of service will be. Downtown Bellevue Network reported a Legion representative told the outlet it was April 30.

Legion did not immediately respond to a request for comment Friday morning. Reservations are not available for any days in May.

"Our Bellevue location is closing," the Instagram post read. "After much consideration, we have decided to close our Bellevue location and focus back to where it all started at Lumen Field Stadium. Come see us there!"

In addition to gathering for games, patrons came to Legion for various events including DJ sets, karaoke night, comedy shows and meet-and-greets with Seahawks players.

Many questions remained unanswered after the post, with commenters asking when the bar would close and some wondering where the second location is. Legion doesn't have another stand-alone sports bar like the Bellevue location, but their food is available inside Lumen Field on gamedays.

In 2024, Chancellor brought a kitchen called Bam Bam Smash Burger to section 122 at Lumen Field. It serves a menu including Legion's Cajun Shrimp Basket, Cajun fries and more, created in collaboration with Legion Sports Bar. Legion food is also available on the Club Level near sections 204 and 240, according to the Lumen Field website.
