70-year-old woman flagging traffic hit by dump truck in Capitol Hill
A 70-year-old woman who was flagging traffic in Capitol Hill was taken to the hospital Friday after being hit by a dump truck, Seattle police say.
The woman was working as a flagger for a private company when she was struck at the intersection of Broadway and East Pine Street around 11 a.m., police said.
She was taken to Harborview Medical Center, police said. The dump-truck driver stayed and spoke with officers who were investigating the incident, police said.
The circumstances of the incident and the condition of the flagger are unknown.
