Arbor Health announces departure of foundation manager

Arbor Health has announced the departure of Jessica Scogin, foundation manager.

After many years of service, Scogin is leaving the organization to establish new roots and opportunities as she and her family relocate, according to a news release from Arbor Health.

As foundation manager, Scogin led the foundation's fundraising efforts, including securing multiple grants for capital equipment purchases to expand diagnostic and clinical capabilities, grow the workforce, and revitalize community-focused events, such as organizing a whole-family resource fair and supporting youth programs.

She also managed the hospital's gift shop and coordinated volunteer services.

"The list of contributions and accomplishments by Jessica on behalf of the foundation is long and impressive," said Arbor Health CEO Eric "Max" Neal in the news release. "On behalf of the entire organization, and those who have been served by her efforts, we thank Jessica and wish her all the best in her future endeavors."

Arbor Health is currently seeking applicants for the hospital foundation manager position. The hospital foundation manager is responsible for leading and managing foundation fundraising initiatives, donor relations and community engagement activities.

The role includes partnering with the Foundation Board of Directors and hospital leaders to grow philanthropy that supports patients, caregivers and critical services, enabling neighbors to access care close to home. Full details about the position can be found at myarborhealth.org.

With a change in foundation leadership, the Arbor Health Morton Hospital Gift Shop, located inside the lobby entrance, will temporarily close starting on Thursday, July 2. Leaders of the organization are exploring options for the gift shop.

"The hospital's foundation, its fundraising efforts, and the outstanding contributions by volunteers will continue to play a central role for Arbor Health," Neal said. "I look forward to sharing updates with our community and friends of Arbor."
