The new panel is titled "From Slough to Crown Jewel," and tells the transformation of the lake from the Fowler slough.
Guest speakers include Washington state Sen. Jeff Wilson, R-Longview, Cowlitz County Historical Museum Director Jacob Govenik, Longview City Manager Jen Wills, and more.
The Longview '23 Club started in 1933 and was initially limited to people who lived or worked in the city when it was dedicated in 1923, but is now open to all who share a love for Longview, its beauty and history, according to the group.
