The team, which consists of members from seven countries, is on a four-month torch relay known as the Sri Chinmoy Oneness-Home Peace Run, which began in 1987 to promote world harmony.
The run goes along a 10,000-mile route that began in New York City in April. Along the way, the runners visit schools, youth organizations and local events to give presentations promoting peace and self-esteem.
On Sunday, the team is scheduled to run 89 miles from Portland to Napavine along state Route 411, or West Side Highway.
At noon, an ice cream social will be held at the Castle Rock Senior Center to celebrate the passing of the torch.
The Peace Run has covered over 160 countries in the Americas, Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia, and was inspired by Indian spiritual leader Sri Chinmoy.
