Crossland served as an attorney for several years before following his "passion" for serving in education.

He has has served in many roles throughout his career, including as a teacher and district administrator in the Cashmere and Manson School Districts, Head of School at Park City Day School in Utah and an educational leader nationally and internationally.

According to the board, Crossland's leadership is "grounded in high expectations, strong relationships, community partnership, and a belief that every student deserves opportunities to learn, lead, and thrive."

"We look forward to building on the great work already underway and continuing our shared commitment to developing students who are prepared to learn, lead, and contribute to their communities and the world around them," the release said.
