The following are criminal cases heard recently in Skagit County Superior Court:

THEFT

A 36-year-old woman was sentenced to 104 days in jail Monday after pleading guilty to second-degree theft, first-degree criminal trespass, and knowingly possessing a controlled substance without a prescription.

According to court records, the charges Lilly Marie Huey pleaded guilty to stemmed from crimes committed in December 2024 and May 2025.

In December 2024, Huey took items valued at $972 from a Burlington store without paying for them.

In May 2025, she illegally entered private property in Mount Vernon. She had fentanyl in her possession.

In exchange for her guilty pleas, Huey had three other charges dropped.

VOYEURISM

A bench warrant was issued Wednesday, June 3, for a 41-year-old Mount Vernon man who failed to show up for his sentencing hearing after having pleaded guilty to first-degree voyeurism.

According to court records, Nolberto Vargas-Flores pleaded guilty on May 6, and prosecutors were to recommend a sentence of 90 days in jail.

Records state that on Aug. 14, 2024, Vargas-Flores hid a video camera in the bedroom of a 17-year-old girl and recorded her without her knowledge.

In exchange for his guilty plea, Vargas-Flores had a second charge dropped.

ASSAULT

A 60-year-old Mount Vernon man was sentenced to 364 days in jail after pleading guilty Monday to fourth-degree assault with a sexual motivation.

According to court records, 361 days of the sentence imposed on Jeffrey Leonard Ferdig were suspended.

Records state that on Dec. 11, 2025, Ferdig sexually assaulted a woman.

In exchange for his guilty plea, Ferdig had a second charge dropped.
