The following are criminal cases heard recently in Skagit County Superior Court:

ROBBERY

A 36-year-old Anacortes man was sentenced to five years in prison Friday after pleading guilty to nine charges.

According to court records, Robert Dee Angus pleaded guilty to second-degree robbery, second-degree identity theft, criminal impersonation, second-degree vehicle prowling, third-degree malicious mischief, second-degree possession of stolen property, attempting to elude a police vehicle, and two counts of driving with a suspended license.

Records state that the crimes occurred in 2024, 2025 and 2026.

In exchange for his guilty pleas, Angus had 12 other charges dropped.

CHILD MOLESTATION

A 45-year-old Maple Valley man was sentenced to four years, nine months in prison Thursday after pleading guilty to three counts of second-degree child molestation.

According to court records, Erik P. Timblin assaulted a girl in Burlington.

On March 30, 2023, the 7-year-old girl's mother called police to report she believed her child had been assaulted.

On April 4, 2023, the child was interviewed and substantiated details of several assaults.

VIOLATING A PROTECTION ORDER

A 22-year-old Burlington man was sentenced to four years in prison Friday after pleading guilty to two counts of violating a protection order with a previous conviction.

According to court records, on Jan. 23, 2025, Moises Nila had contact with a person who had a protection order against him.

In exchange for his guilty pleas, Nila had 11 other charges dropped.

ASSAULT

A 51-year-old Burien woman was sentenced to 12 months in prison Thursday after pleading guilty to third-degree assault of a law enforcement officer.

According to court records, on July 7, 2025, Ana Luisa Manery Najery threw a cellphone at a Mount Vernon police officer who had responded to a disturbance at Skagit Station.

In exchange for his guilty plea, Manery Najera had a second charge dropped.
