Schmidt House wraps up America250 celebration with history talk

May 25-The Schmidt House in Tumwater will be wrapping up its America250 celebration with a history talk scheduled for noon on Thursday, June 4.

The talk is titled "The History of Our Flag."

Art Dolan, representing Sons of the American Revolution, will present a program on the history of the U.S. flag.

Using actual flags, Dolan will explain the evolution of the Stars and Stripes from the late 1700s to present day, a news release from the Schmidt House stated.

Dolan is filling in for the previously scheduled speaker, Dick Moody, who is unable to present his planned program.

Doors open at 11:30 a.m. Seating will be first-come, first-served until room capacity is reached.

The Schmidt House is located at 330 Schmidt Place SW, Tumwater.
