Aaron Hill officially starts his role on Monday, according to a city press release.

Hill's work at Portland Community College was his latest position, but he's also held financial leadership roles with school districts, healthcare organizations and more, the press release states.

The city finance director oversees city budgeting, accounting, financial reporting and longterm fiscal planning.

Longview's previous financial director, Lisa Wolff, left at the end of the year, according to the city spokesperson. She served as the finance director for a year, after a total of 19 years with the city.

Before Wolff took over the role in 2025, the city had not had a permanent finance director since 2018.
