Shed fire extinguished in Lexington

No one was injured after crews put out a shed fire on Tuesday evening in Lexington.

Crews responded at about 5:10 p.m. to a shed fire on property in the 1400 block of West Side Highway, according to the press release from Cowlitz 2 Fire & Rescue.

Using multiple hose lines, crews controlled the fire within 9 minutes of arriving at the scene, preventing it from spreading.

Fire crews remained at the scene to check the area for hot spots.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, but the department believes it was an accident, the press release states.
