Beasley, 29, of an unknown location, was arrested Saturday on suspicion of fourth-degree assault, carrying a weapon without a permit and possessing a stolen firearm.
At about 3:41 p.m., on Saturday, officers were dispatched to a Chevron gas station off Atlantic Avenue and near the Oak Tree Restaurant, according to a Woodland police notice. Someone had reported that a man had just assaulted a gas station employee.
Police later found Beasly at the Oyo Motel, about 1,600 feet from the Chevron. The police alleged that after placing Beasley into custody, they found a stolen Glock 10mm semi-automatic pistol that originated from Seattle on him.
Beasley had no known connections to the Woodland area, according to the Woodland police.
A public defender was appointed to represent Beasley on Monday.
His next Cowlitz County Superior Court hearing is scheduled for May 4.
