College Place High School yearbook staff recognized for design excellence
The team of students that put together College Place High School's 2024-2025 yearbook has been recognized nationally for their work this year with the Talon Yearbook featured in the 2026 Jostens Look Book.
The Jostens Look Book highlights the best yearbooks across the country each year. This is the third year College Place's yearbook has been recognized, according to district news release.
The edition of Talon Yearbook that is being recognized this year was created by the 2024-2025 yearbook staff, led by adviser Cathy Mebes. It is titled, "We Are the Legacy."
"As a 2025 graduate of CPHS and one of last year's managing editors, I've had the chance to reflect on why we chose the theme ‘We Are the Legacy,'" Jenna Vinyard said. "Many of us dedicated all four years to yearbook, and by our senior year, we weren't just creating another book. We were preserving something meaningful. We had spent years documenting moments and telling the story of our school, while also helping shape the culture of CPHS."
The Talon Yearbook staff received a plaque and banner in honor of their work.
"I could not be more proud of the young professionals who serve on the Talon staff each year," Mebes said. "Their attention to detail, design skill, and commitment to excellence set them apart."
