Kelso hosts annual Kinderpalooza registration event

Kelso School District's annual Kinderpalooza event is scheduled for 5-6:30 p.m. May 5 at Coweeman Middle School.

Future kindergarten students, early learners and families are invited to the free event.

Each Kelso elementary school will have a table where families can meet school staff. Community organizations will also be available to share information and resources.

Families can register for school, get information about school programs and volunteer opportunities, meet Kelso staff and take a picture at the Class of 2039 photo booth. Future students will also have the opportunity to board and ride a school bus.

Kindergarten registration is open for children who will be 5 years old by Sept. 1. Families can enroll online at bit.ly/enrollatksd or pick up a paper packet at any Kelso elementary school.

Registration is also open for Preschool Pups and Transition to Kindergarten, Kelso's early learning programs.

Preschool Pups is a free half-day preschool program for 3- and 4-year-olds. Transition to Kindergarten is a free, full-day program aimed at preparing 4-year-olds for kindergarten and requires an application.
