Four injured in U.S. Highway 12 collision in Morton

Four people were hospitalized following a two-car collision on U.S. Highway 12 in Morton Saturday, according to the Washington State Patrol (WSP).

Randle residents, Briar A. Steed, 21, and Chloe C. Carrell, 21, were both transported to Morton General Hospital with undisclosed injuries.

Oregon residents Michael C. Roberts, 63, and Janet R. Roberts, 64, were also transported to the hospital with undisclosed injuries.

All four were wearing seat belts, troopers said.

According to WSP's incident report, a Dodge Charger driven by Michael Roberts was attempting to turn left onto state Route 7 from Highway 12 at about 10:37 a.m. April 11 when it failed to yield the right of way to a Toyota Celica heading westbound on Highway 12.

The 1995 Celica, driven by Steed, struck the 2016 Charger.

Both vehicles received reportable damage.

WSP noted that no drugs or alcohol were involved in the incident.
