Powerball ticket sold at Eastern Washington grocery store wins big. Here’s where

An Eastern Washington lottery player is $50,000 richer after buying a winning Powerball ticket, according to lottery officials.

The winning ticket matched four white balls and the red Powerball in a drawing on Monday, March 23, according to Washington’s Lottery and the national Powerball website.

Where was the winning Powerball ticket in Eastern Washington?

The winning ticket was sold at a Rosauers grocery store at 9414 North Division St. in Spokane, according to a Washington’s Lottery spokeperson.

Not far from Whitworth University, this area of Spokane is about two and a half hours from Tri-Cities by car.

According to Washington’s Lottery, the odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are one in 292 million.

Powerball players have a one-in-913,000 chance of winning $50,000.

What were the winning Powerball numbers?

The winning numbers in Monday’s Powerball drawing were 12, 18, 47, 56 and 63, with a Powerball number of 1.

Since no one took home the jackpot, the biggest possible payout keeps rising.

How does Powerball lottery game work?

For another extra dollar, winnings can be multiplied by up to 10 through the Power Play.

To participate in the Powerball, players pick five numbers between 1 and 69, and one Powerball number between 1 and 26.

Drawings are at 7:59 p.m. every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.
