It’s natural to want to make big life changes in January. With the start of the new year, many want to introduce a new style, a new home, or even a new job.

Environmental Justice Advisor - Department of Natural Resources

  • Salary: $93,012-$108,492/year

  • Location: Olympia

  • Description: Provide leadership on projects focused on environmental justice, develop strategic initiatives that benefit all Washingtonians, provide support to other directors and additional duties.

  • Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or higher, OR equivalent education and experience, plus experience with high-priority projects and managing relationships, an understanding of the legislative process and budgeting principles, active listening and writing skills, and demonstration of DNR’s core competencies. Some travel is required for the role.

Data Migration Specialist - Administrative Office of the Courts

  • Description: Provide strategic leadership and support best practices for the High School and Beyond Planning Program in order to increase student engagement. Work collaboratively across OSPI while providing leadership and program direction.

  • Requirements: Bachelor’s degree with work emphasis in education, plus at least three years of experience working in secondary or higher education including curriculum development or instructional resource design, OR equivalent education and experience.

  • Requirements: Either a bachelor’s degree in statistics, science, mathematics, public administration or related field plus three years of experience with complex financial systems, OR five years of experience with complex financial systems plus an associate degree in the same fields, OR seven years of experience with complex financial systems, PLUS analytic and technical experience skills and communication skills.

Court Budget Advisor - Administrative Office of the Courts

  • Description: Serve as the primary technical budget advisor, assist the division director and oversee technical development of numerous budgets. Monitor revenue collection data, develop expenditure plans, review financial reports and make budget recommendations to the courts.

  • Requirements: A bachelor’s degree in business, public administration or a related field, plus at least five years of state budgeting experience, OR equivalent education and experience.

Equipment Technician Lead - Nights - Department of Transportation

  • Location: Skagit County

  • Description: Direct operations and repair activities in the region’s North end (Everett, Mount Vernon, Bellingham areas), conduct inspections, repairs and preventative maintenance, among other duties.

  • Requirements: High school diploma or GED, plus computer and communication skills. Additionally, applicants should have at least three years of experience as a journey-level mechanic maintaining heavy-duty equipment OR journey-level standing through apprenticeship or recognized as such by a labor union. Must also have, or be willing to obtain within six months, a Class A CDL with N and Air Brake endorsements and no transmission restriction.

L&I Elevator Inspector 2 - Department of Labor and Industries

  • Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent, plus four years of experience as an elevator apprentice, journey-level elevator mechanic, QEI certified inspector, completion of the Elevator Inspection program two-year training plan, or any combination of such experience. Additionally, applicants should be able to work independently and in a timely manner, have knowledge in computer software programs and keyboarding, effective communication skills and a desire to learn and enforce code.

Senior HR Generalist (Human Resource Consultant 4) - Office of the Insurance Commissioner

  • Salary: $6,077-$8,170/month

  • Description: Work closely with staff to offer strategic advice and guidance, ensure effective solutions and consult on HR topics, among other duties.

  • Requirements: Bachelor’s degree with focus on business, human resources, social/organizational behavioral sciences or related field, plus at least three years of full-time senior consultant HR experience, OR at least seven years of full-time senior consultant experience.
