A man held another person at knifepoint and stole his truck in Washington, Seattle police said.

The man carjacked the pickup truck in Seattle, which had a trailer attached, on Wednesday, Nov. 10, around 5:15 a.m., Seattle Police Department said in a news release.

When the man drove off, authorities said he hit someone on a scooter.

The scooter rider needed to take an ambulance to the hospital for leg injuries, police said.

The trailer also disconnected from the truck as officers followed the driver through the Capitol Hill area and North Seattle, police said.

Police then arrested the suspect.

Authorities told McClatchy News the truck was not a city-owned vehicle.

Photos and videos from the arrest show the truck labeled with K&D Services Inc. Washington, a road construction company, KING-TV reported.
