Second pot store to open in Wenatchee area
The Wenatchee Valley’s second retail marijuana store -- the first in Chelan County -- will open Aug. 23 just off Highway 97A.
Green Life Cannabis, 3012 GS Center Road, behind Doghouse Motorsports, will open at 10 a.m. with products that include marijuana, pre-rolled joints and cones and some oils, said store spokesman Casey Davison. More products will be offered as soon as they become available.
A medical marijuana dispensary already exists in the same area, Davison said, but is not related to Green Life.
Store hours will be 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday to Thursday; 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday; and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays. Actual business hours may vary at first, depending on inventory, Davison said.
Retail marijuana store owners have been struggling to find enough marijuana products to sell, he said.
The valley’s first retail store, The Happy Crop Shoppe, opened in East Wenatchee July 14. The four local families that own the business plan to open a second store in Monitor this fall.
