Tri-City Democrats to meet March 11
The Tri-Cities Democrats will meet March 11 at the Laborers’ Hall, 2505 West Duportail St., Richland.
The guest speaker, John Christenson, will give a lecture on global warming/climate change. He came to the Tri-Cities in 1981, when he was hired by Rockwell Hanford Operations as an advanced engineer on the Basalt Waste Isolation Project.
Christenson holds graduate degrees in engineering from both the University of Minnesota and Caltech. He is a 1972 graduate of Dartmouth College, where he majored in English literature.
He was a founding member of the Environmental Information Network of Southeast Washington.
Doors open at 5:45 p.m. The potluck is at 6 p.m. with the presentation beginning at 7 p.m. The public is invited to attend. For more information, call 509-222-4682.
