Green Party formation planned in Kennewick on Tuesday

Plans to form of a Tri-City-area Green Party is being discussed at a public meeting Tuesday in Kennewick.

The party — for political progressives supporting peace, ecology, social justice and democracy — would be affiliated with the Green Party of Washington.

The meeting is at 8 p.m. at the Kennewick library, 1620 S. Union St.
