Uganda closes border with Congo to try to contain Ebola outbreak

NAIROBI - Uganda has decided to close its border with neighbouring Democratic Republic of Congo with immediate effect to try to contain an Ebola outbreak, Uganda's government said on Wednesday.

The border would be closed for four weeks, senior health official Diana Atwine told a news conference.
