Students can check their AP exam scores soon. See when
High school students who took Advanced Placement (AP) tests during the 2025-2026 school year will soon be able to see their scores.
Starting Monday, July 6, students' scores will be available on the College Board's website, according to the organization. AP exams are taken in May, towards the end of the school year, and can determine whether a student will receive college credit for the classes they took throughout the year.
AP classes cover a variety of topics, including sciences, languages, literature, history, government and politics, math and more, according to the College Board's website. Students took their exams across a span of two weeks, from May 4 to May 15.
Here's what to know about the exams and how students can get their scores.
When can you view AP exam scores?
On Monday, July 6, students will be able to view their scores through the College Board's website. The organization has not announced a set release time for the scores only information stating that they will be made available on July 6.
Those who don't see their scores by Monday may have to wait a little longer, as exams taken later in the testing period may take longer to process, according to the College Board's FAQ. Students who don't see their score by Aug. 15 should contact AP Services for Students.
How can you access your AP scores?
AP scores can be accessed through the College Board's website via the student's College Board account, the same account used to access My AP, according to the organization's website. Students can access their account or create a new one if they don't have one.
Do not create a new account if you already have one, as this can delay when you receive your scores, the College Board stated on its website. Once you are signed in, you can view your scores.
What is considered a good score on the AP exam?
AP exams are scored on a scale of 1 to 5, according to the College Board. The lowest score is 1 and the highest score is 5.
Most colleges will allow students to receive credit and skip a course equivalent to the one they took in high school if they score a 3 or higher.
What is the AP Exam?
An AP exam is a standardized exam that measures how much a student has mastered the subject material of their AP course throughout the school year, according to the College Board.
Different AP courses include:
- AP English Language and Composition
- AP Art History
- AP African American Studies
- AP Psychology
- AP United States History
- AP Calculus AB and BC
- AP Biology
- AP Spanish Language and Culture
