German inflation confirmed at 2.7% y/y in May

FRANKFURT - German inflation eased slightly to 2.7% in May, the federal statistics office said on Friday, confirming preliminary data.

Inflation, or the gain in consumer prices harmonised to compare with other European Union countries, stood at 2.9% year-on-year in April.
