This famous Colorado town is being sold for 6 figures — and it’s an introvert’s dream

A picturesque town that looks straight out of a storybook has landed on the real estate market in Lake City, Colorado, for $925,000.

But, be warned — the town is pretty isolated from the rest of the world.

A unique opportunity to own a well maintained piece of Colorado’s mining heritage,” the listing on Sotheby’s International Realty said. “This holding consists of 31 patented mining claims, 305.7153 acres and multiple historic mining buildings.

“When you arrive on the property you can feel the history. Ore was originally found in the Carson Mining District in 1881, and countless people came to the area over the years in search of their fortune. The remaining buildings are considered to be one of the most famous Colorado ghost towns.“

The listing says that a new owner has an endless array of options to transform the property into, well, anything they could dream of including:

  • Family retreat

  • Hunting lodge

  • Summer camp

  • Back country ski outfit

The property comes complete with ponds, creeks and views that are downright gorgeous.

The tiny town was also featured on Realtor.com.

Lake City is about 225 miles southwest of Colorado Springs.

Martin Spencer holds the listing.
