19-year-old shot and killed after breaking into ex’s home, Arizona police say

A 19-year-old man died after he was shot in a fight inside the Phoenix home of his ex-girlfriend, Arizona police reported.

Kimoni Wilson forced his way into the home Wednesday, Aug. 24, where he fought with a man who confronted him inside, Phoenix police said in a news release.

Wilson struck the man with a gun he found in the home, but the man “got ahold of the gun” and shot Wilson, police said.

Police were called to the home at 6:45 a.m. and found Wilson dead, the release said. The other man was taken to a hospital with injuries from the fight.

An investigation into the death continues, police said.
