Puppy with mouth taped shut left in hot car by gambler at Vegas casino finds new home
A puppy that was found locked in a car with its mouth taped shut at a Las Vegas casino parking lot last month has found a new home.
The dog, a 3-month-old Siberian husky, was inside a parked car at the Bellagio while the owner was inside gambling on July 20, McClatchy News previously reported.
“Dutchess was found locked inside a hot car on the top floor of a parking garage for two hours with her mouth taped shut,” The Animal Foundation said on Facebook.
At 3 p.m., the temperature reached 113 degrees, according to the nonprofit, which said the dog was “without food, water and air conditioning.”
The owner was arrested and faces charges of animal abuse, McClatchy News reported previously.
Before going to live with her “perfect forever family,” Dutchess had a visit with the officer who saved her.
At her new home, Dutchess “enjoys going for walks, playing with her new toys, and spending time with her new dog sibling, Tobey,” the nonprofit said.
