Busch is making beer for your dog now. Can you drink it too? ‘Suuure,’ company says
Dogs have a pretty sweet deal: They don’t work, they don’t drive, and if they started day drinking nobody would even notice.
And yet, there’s not a lot of beer for dogs. —
Busch Beer saw this relatively untapped market and stepped up, announcing Busch Dog Brew this Wednesday, which is National Dog Day.
People beer isn’t good for canines, and neither is alcohol in general, but Busch found a workaround that will allow Americans to finally crack open a cold one with all of your boys, not just the bipedal ones.
Busch announced the new beer on Twitter, and people were eager to offer their opinion, or just use the opportunity to show off their best buds.
Can you drink a Dog Brew with your new, furry drinking buddy? “Suuure,” Busch says.
It won’t kill you, but there are some reasons you might not like it as much as the dog.
Problem number one, it’s alcohol free. Problem two, it’s basically liquid dog food in a beer can. So it’s really not a beer at all, Busch admits, but “rather, a bone broth for dogs.”
“Made with vegetables, herbs, spices, water, and pork broth to provide your best buddy with a nutritious and tasty snack that helps to promote a healthy digestive system,” according to Busch.
In this brothski is corn, celery, basil, mint, turmeric, ginger, bone-in pork butt, and water.
Keep in mind, this is not a meal replacement. Continue feeding the dog as normal, Busch says.
Dog Brew won’t be found on any store shelves. The 4-packs are on sale for $9.99 online only at busch.com/dogbrew.
